BOOK IV WORDS OF THE POET Who is to say I was not there when time reveal the truth of existence? I have made my mark and not even time can wipe away my resistance. Not all of me was perfect not all of me was bad oh dear me how sad. To live without acquiring knowledge of the divine Lord how bored But I was there hear me if you care my words are written everywhere. No one lives forever but words endure and the spirit lives on and on Who is to say I was not there only a fool blowing out hot air? EVOKES AWARENESS If poetry means finding your way to eventually reading a good book, well then! This one for you, I call “The Charge of a chosen few” it is poetry literature at its best that evokes a concentrated imaginative awareness of my experience deriving from specific emotional behavior observe around the world, through precise thoughts arranged from its meaning according to my calculation as I see it, resulting in the melody and rhythm of a collective choice of words. CHARLES LEWIS - HIS HELEN BRAND WINE SUPER DELICIOUS Charles Lewis a man with many talents will surprise you with his selection of wine home-brewed right there in Can-ells, among the prize-winning wines are his sugar cane wine, Tamarind wine, and the famous wine he nicknames ‘’Slow Battery” to be honest it seems impossible to brew wine in such a dry place, but Charles knows how and does it quite well, he produces some very interesting flavors as well. Check out Mr. Lewis when next you visit St. Lucia, just follow the highway to Vieux - Fort in the little hamlet of Can-ells, if you go past the last bridge on your way to Vieux- Fort, then you have already passed the place, you just cannot miss him, he will be the one without a shirt on. TAMARIND WINE A BIG HIT: brewed right here in St. Lucia in the little Hamlet of Can-ells where everything is fresh and cool breeze year-round. On    my    last    visit    to    St.    Lucia,    someone    ask    me    if    I    have    tried Tamarind   wine   to   which   I   reply   no,   I   don’t   think   such   a   wine   is being   sold   at   the   liquor   store,   I   don’t   believe   they   do   however   he said   but   you   can   purchase   it   at   Charles   Lewis   Helen   Brand   place   just   off   the   highway,   right   off   the   highway   road   to   Vieux   Fort,   a mile   from   the   airport   on   your   way   north   of   the   Island.   So   off   I   went   and   to   my   amazement   how   true,   Charles   a   jovial   fellow showed   me   several   selections   including   his   prize-winning   Slow   Battery   wine   made   with   molasses   and   other   secret   ingredients,   go ahead   give   it   a   try   and   come   back   for   more,   I   urge   you   to   try   this   man   wine   selections   before   it   is   a   thing   of   the   past,   and   to   all   who would venture to try CHEERS. CARE TO DONATE COMMUNITY INVOLVEMENT It is becoming increasingly hard to manage my wife up the portable one I now use, I got this one for the Summer months and it was a blessing however it came with some limitations, firstly it was too short which made the incline too steep, so it was hooked up on the last steep on reaching the platform there was one more step to huddle over, secondly, it was too narrow did not fit perfectly with the door width. SHOWER I could use a walk-in bath for my wheelchair-bound better half, taking a shower for her is an adventure, as much as I like a good cliffhanger story this one is starting to work on my nerves. Right at this time I have a tub and an overhead shower, while it has done its job over the years, there was no challenge where it is a concern, five years ago my wife became disabled it was hard for her to jump in the shower then much less crawl in, yes we can use a walk-in shower if you find it in your heart to help we are thankful for the help to replace the tub. A LETTER TO MAMA Living in America and practicing the discipline and training you did instill in me, Mama I was told that this is a country of Law & Order, as with anything else if you violate and disobey the law you are punished forthwith according to the violation, and section of the law you’ve broken. Mama, I am excited to be here, living in such a progressive society governed by laws, you will like it here Mama, however, it’s not all perfect Mama, you see there are also law violators who work the system to benefit their agenda, thereby making a mockery of the law, yes Mama that exist here. They called it the process. The process works all too well Mama, one of the main reasons is that there are more laws than Order, and keeping the peace is society Order, judging the Law is sometimes elusive and governed by several other factors of the law. Mama, not so long ago I was on jury 21 for the Milwaukee County Circuit Court in the court of Judge Jeffrey Conan, I thought I knew what Law & Order meant but I was wrong Mama it goes far more in-depth than the naked eye can see, I put it this way what the naked eye saw witness by collaborating witnesses of two or three. My instruction was simple the judge instructed us to judge the facts and nothing but the facts. This brings me now to tell you Mama about the event of March 7th during the wee hours of the evening, Mama I was nearly shot in my own home, one of the stray bullets lodged itself two feet from my body, while three more hit the ceiling outside my window, I felt the impact burning into my soul and ringing into my ears, for a minute I thought I was dying but quickly realize I was not hit. Talk about being traumatized yes Mama my heart was beating so fast you could hear it a mile off, to make the situation worse my wife who sat next to me was trembling with fear of not being able to walk she sat there hypnotized, Somehow, I got the strength to put her in her wheelchair and quickly wheel her to the back bedroom and await the police to respond. This was the second shooting from the same source. The officer on the scene was searching for the shells in the immediate vicinity I beckon him to enter the house and pointed to him the bullet lodged in my window frame, he dug out the bullet and made his exit I stood there still traumatized and shaking all over, Mama this was my very first awkward dangerous situation, and it shook me terrible bad. What is left to say, Mama, well four days later I am dishing out a total of 1000.00 dollars out of my pocket, my deductible out of a total of $6300.00 for the repair of my house, I should be angry Mama, but instead I praise almighty Jehovah for spearing my life and the life of my neighbors, and wished this incident never did happen? Mama if you still want to join your son in this Law-abiding society it is your choice, there are many good people here believe me, please don’t be judgmental of all of them, there are also some bad apples bye Mama.
